Event Description:

In an effort to help small and mid sized companies be able to access academia including medical training institution resources, cultivate entrepreneurial teams and help breakthrough ideas advance outside of the lab, the Council is organizing a conference which will allow these companies to access university leaders and others to share their concerns.

Our goal is to have executives from these companies openly discuss their challenges and form a master list of match making opportunities between companies and universities/medical institutions.  This overview of the companies' needs and limitations could then be shared with students and physicians in training to have them incorporate these needs in their research efforts.

This will be an opportunity for the academic and medical communities to learn about regulations, resources, and hurdles in bringing new ideas to commercialization.  For the life sciences companies they will learn about what academia and medical institutions can and cannot do for them in the way of providing advisors, researchers and access to facilities.  For all concerned we hope this will prove to be a networking venue facilitating working partnerships among those of complimentary needs and interests.
